Located at the former Saratogian building in downtown Saratoga, Whitman Brewing has quickly made a name for itself despite being one of the newest additions to the region’s craft beer scene. In fact, the local brewery was recently announced as the 8th Best New Brewery in the country by USA Today 10Best’s Readers’ Choice Awards for 2021.
What Makes Whitman Brewing Stand Out Among the Rest
To find the best new breweries in the country (founded since the start of 2018), USA Today 10Best editors partnered with a panel of experts to pick the initial nominees. Readers and craft beer fans then voted for their favorites to determine the top 10 winners. After all the votes were counted, Saratoga Springs’ own Whitman Brewing was announced as the 8th Best New Brewery in the USA.
“It is a tremendous honor to be listed among the top new breweries in the country,” Will Crager, co-owner and founder of Whitman, said in a press release. “We are proud of what we have created and it is so rewarding to see that the work we have put into launching Whitman has been recognized.”
Whitman Brewing was also identified earlier this year as a top new brewery by Hop Culture, and since opening their doors in December 2019, they have grown into a craft brewery destination. The brewery offers an exceptional craft beer menu paired with a delicious food menu that features mouthwatering Detroit-style pizza. Whitman also has a full cafe above the brewery where you can relax and enjoy a coffee or espresso.
Over the past year, the brewery has worked hard to create a safe environment for their patrons, and their goal is to make sure time spent at Whitman is memorable. For these reasons and more, it’s no surprise they made USA Today 10Best’s top 10 list this year.
