Event Spotlight: Celebrate the 5th Annual Virtual Saratoga Grandparents Day
On Sunday, September 12, at 11:00am, The Wesley Foundation will present the 5th Annual Virtual Saratoga Grandparents Day. Wesley will honor grandparents of the Saratoga area and beyond with a virtual day of generational celebration. The event will include a ceremony-style video featuring the nominees of the Greatest Grandparents Club, class of 2021.
Saratoga Grandparents Day is being held in support of The Nursing Scholarship Fund at The Wesley Community, and you can donate to the cause online.

The Whitney Viewing Stand Will Stay Open This Fall
Yesterday, September 9, the New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) announced that the Whitney Viewing Stand at the Oklahoma Training Track will remain open to the public this fall. Starting on September 10, spectators are welcome to watch the horses from the Whitney Viewing Stand on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays (7:00am-10:00am) through the end of training in November. Free parking is available.
Plan a Trip to Saratoga County’s First Trader Joe’s
Known for their signature items, produce, dairy, and other products, Trader Joe’s is a popular place to pick up groceries. Although the Trader Joe’s in Colonie used to be the region’s only one, there is now a new location at 3 Halfmoon Crossing in Halfmoon. This Trader Joe’s held its grand opening event on Wednesday, September 8, and the store is open from 8:00am-9:00pm daily.
A New Donut Shop Is Coming Soon to Clifton Park

Are you a fan of donuts and fried chicken? If so, then you should stay tuned for the grand opening of 518 Donuts in Clifton Park. This new donut shop will offer fresh, hot cake donuts, amazing coffee, and incredible fried chicken. According to their Facebook page, the shop plans to have their grand opening in early October.
Get the Scoop on Saratoga’s New Menswear Store
Mark Thomas Men’s Apparel, an upscale men’s clothier based out of Albany, has announced plans to open a second location at 385 Broadway, a mixed-use building in downtown Saratoga. As reported by Saratoga Living, the store will be located on the first floor of the building and offer an excellent selection of menswear. The store hopes to open in time for the start of the holiday season.
