Find Out About the New Champagne Bar Coming to Saratoga
No celebration is complete without a glass of champagne, and in downtown Saratoga, you’ll be able to sip a glass with friends and family at the new Bocage on Phila Street. Bocage is a champagne bar that’s being developed by Clark Gale and Zachary Denham, and according to the Albany Business Review, the space will feature a 20-seat bar and an additional standing room. Champagne will be available by the glass, and there will also be wine, limited spirits, and light food options. An opening date hasn’t been announced yet, but you can visit their Facebook page for updates: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100075107330995
NYRA Plans to Reconstruct the Historic “Wilson Chute” at Saratoga Race Course
One-mile dirt races are returning to Saratoga Race Course this summer, reports the New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) in a press release. NYRA is working to reconstruct the historic “Wilson Chute,” which was dismantled after the 1972 season and brought back briefly in 1992 for 25 races.
“The Wilson Chute will only add to the quality and consistency of dirt racing at Saratoga,” said Glen Kozak, NYRA’s Senior Vice President of Operations and Capital Projects, in the press release.
The reconstructed “Wilson Chute” will follow the route of the original chute along the Clubhouse turn, and the project will also include upgrades to the Tailgate at the Turn picnic area at the Clubhouse turn. This project has the support of the Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation, and the “Wilson Chute” is expected to be used during the 2022 summer meet at Saratoga.
