Saratoga City Officials Host Groundbreaking Ceremony for Trail Project
Have you heard about the Saratoga Greenbelt Trail (SGT) project? The SGT is a planned 24-mile shared use path that will form a continuous loop and offer non-motorized connections across Saratoga Springs. As part of the project, the City of Saratoga Springs will construct a Downtown Connector from the corner of Lake Avenue and High Rock Avenue to the Route 50 bridge over I-87 at Exit 15.
The Downtown Connector will be 1.66 miles long and make the area more accessible for pedestrians and bicyclists. City officials recently held a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the start of construction, which is expected to be finished by fall.
Look Forward to Carson’s Woodside Tavern’s New Dining Space

Featuring some of the best views of Saratoga Lake, along with delicious food and drinks, Carson’s Woodside Tavern is a top dining spot in Saratoga County. However, some exciting changes are in store for this local restaurant. According to an article from Saratoga Living, Carson’s has removed their old covered patio and are in the midst of building a new year-round room with two walls of windows that can fold up. In addition, this new dining space will have a fireplace for winter dining and be available for private events.
Although an official opening date for the year-round space hasn’t been announced yet, Carson’s is planning to open their main patio and The Overlook Bar by Memorial Day or earlier if the weather permits.
