It’s Time for Closing Weekend at Saratoga Race Course
Here’s what’s happening from Friday, September 2 – Monday, September 5 at Saratoga:

In addition, the Purdy’s Summer Concert Stage will feature live music from Swinging Palms on Friday, ILL Funk on Saturday, The North and South Dakotas on Sunday, and Big Medicine on Monday. Racing fans can also enjoy free ice cream on Friday beginning at 1:00pm; scoops of ice cream will be available adjacent to the clubhouse/grandstand exchange on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last.
Regional Fairs & Festivals, an Expo, and Other Top Events
Through September 5
Looking to have some fun with the family over the holiday weekend? Bring the kids to the Great Schaghticoke Fair, which is recognized as the 3rd oldest fair in New York State. The fair is open daily through Labor Day, and attendees can enjoy animal shows, the carnival area, the beer garden, live music, delicious food, and more.

The 181st Fonda Fair is also going on this weekend at the Fonda Fairgrounds, and there are plenty of activities, competitions, rides, and entertainment to check out. Some of the highlights coming up include the demolition derby, fireworks, truck pulls, and the 9th Annual Convoy For a Cause Parade.

Are you a fan of folk music? Don’t miss out on the return of the Gotta Get Gon’ Folk Music Festival at the Saratoga County Fairgrounds this weekend. This is a family-friendly music festival presented by volunteers of the Pickin’ and Singin’ Gatherin’, and it welcomes people of all ages.
Celebrate Ballston Spa’s unique downtown small business community during First Friday! There will be special happenings at local shops, restaurants, and museums all day long.
Round up your family and friends and get lost in a radiant sunflower field at Liberty Ridge Farm this Saturday. During the Sunflower Festival, you’ll be able to take some photos around the sunflowers and have fun at all of the farm’s attractions, such as the Duck Races, Giant Gerbil Wheels, Pedal Karts, and more.
Stock up on fresh produce and your favorite locally made items at the Saratoga Farmers Market on Saturday. The farmer market is held at High Rock Park from 9:00am-1:00pm with over 60 vendors participating.
A free Mind Body Soul Expo will take place at the Saratoga Springs City Center on Saturday from 10:00am-3:00pm. Highlights will include a wide range of vendors, workshops, and stage performances. Stop by and browse essential oils, crystals, handcrafted jewelry, skincare products, and more.
