The Waterford Tugboat Roundup is an annual gathering of tugboats, workboats, and barges that celebrates the maritime heritage of the Northeast Inland Waterways. This year’s event will be held September 8 – 10 along a quarter mile of the Erie Canal and at Lock E2 Park. Bring your family and friends for the tug parade, tug tours, tug talks, competitions, vendors, food, fireworks, and more.
Don’t miss out on the 34th Annual Malta Community Day at Shenantaha Creek Park. Attendees will be able to enjoy everything from musical entertainment and vendors to kids’ activities and delicious food for sale. Admission is free, and the event runs from 10:00am-3:00pm.
Get ready for some family-friendly fun on Saturday at the annual Moreau Community Center Block Party in South Glens Falls. The event will be held rain or shine and feature food, vendors, exhibitors, activities, a dunk tank, and other festivities for people of all ages.
Do you love learning more about Saratoga’s history? Register for the Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation’s first Autumn Stroll of the year. On Sunday, September 10, join Alexandra Morgan for a tour of the area behind Broadway known as “The Gut,” which was once home to many working class and Jewish families who provided important contributions to the Saratoga community. Tickets are limited, and the event is rain or shine.
Take a ride to Ballston Spa on Sunday and enjoy the 13th Annual Car & Truck Show at Curtis Lumber. A wide variety of vehicles will be on display, and spectator admission is free. Additional event highlights include music by DJ Jason La Juene, giveaways, a 50/50 raffle, food trucks, balloon twisting, and more.
