Right now, we are in the midst of a fear epidemic. It can be hard to detach ourselves from the addictive nature of the news, social media, and advertising, all of which perpetuate this contagious, negative emotion. Yet, if we stay stuck in this amygdala hijack, it is to our own and society’s detriment.
If we aim to be very conscious of our mental health and take care to nourish our minds and bodies, we are more likely to move through these trying times with more focus, productivity, and peace of mind. We can use integrative and lifestyle tools to support us and shift our brain patterns to process past trauma and cope more effectively with current life events. This could even mean taking steps in contributing to a solution, rather than being paralyzed with inaction or stuck in a loop of hopelessness.
Recently, I had the pleasure of recording two podcasts with my friends and colleagues.
In my recent post, I highlight my chat with Coach Tony Wechsler and the self-proclaimed “Nutrition Nerd,” Sarah Genovese on the subjects of spirituality in medicine and essential oils. I also provide links to more research and resources on the topics discussed.
What does this have to do with current events?
Shows such as theirs can be used to intentionally carve out “purposely positive” times and access information that can support one into moving into a more growth-oriented frame of mind.
Essentially Everything About Essential Oils
Sarah and I discussed all things essential oils. This ranged from their properties, characteristics, usage, quality, history, holism, synergy, and much more. She also caught me off guard with three revealing questions that you won’t want to miss!
Spirituality and Medicine
Tony and I dove into another topic I am very passionate about, spirituality in medicine. We took the conversation to deep levels exploring the concepts of the mind-body connection, spirituality and purpose in healing, mindset as medicine, the placebo effect, how doctors influence patient outcomes, and much more.
Will you make a commitment to break away from the hysteria and move into a state of calm?
What is one thing you can do to start?

This information is applicable ONLY for therapeutic quality essential oils. This information DOES NOT apply to essential oils that have not been tested for purity and standardized constituents. There is no quality control in the United States, and oils labeled as “100% pure” need only to contain 5% of the actual oil. The rest of the bottle can be filled with fillers and sometimes toxic ingredients that can irritate the skin. The studies are not based solely on a specific brand of an essential oil, unless stated. Please read the full study for more information.
