
The glorious days of summer in Saratoga are a wonder for both tourists and natives. Whether gathering with your friends at the track, walking down Broadway to purchase your prizes, exploring the Healing Springs, or jamming at SPAC, it’s always a fun time. Many know that with warmer weather, horses can get antsy. However, unwanted critters also can get more feisty as well.
Unfortunately, some of these bugs can negatively affect human health in a big way. Ticks, which can carry various pathogens, are some of the most feared. These vectors can attach to humans and transmit Borrelia burgdorferi, leading to Lyme disease, and various associated co-infections.
So, to keep your summertime free from these pesky and harmful annoyances, I’ve compiled resources and information on Lyme disease in my latest video blog.
