As the fall foliage in New England displays its beautiful multi-color tapestry, the autumn activities in Saratoga, NY take on a whole new vibrancy. Whether it’s singing along to a favorite local band, enjoying the fine dining at Saratoga’s acclaimed restaurants, joining a new meetup, or taking the family to the harvest-themed happenings, something for everyone can be found on the Saratoga event calendar.
With all the hustle-and-bustle of back-to-school, Saratoga’s fall events, and the holidays looming around the corner, many are wishing to be proactive about their health. Unfortunately, at the same time, more people are finding that they are more “reactive” to environmental triggers than in the past. Perhaps you’ve noticed yourself that these annoying issues are “creeping” up more in your life?
Due to the rising levels of toxins in our world, the pandemic, and an increase in emotional and bodily stressors in our current times, you are not alone. Many integrative practitioners have reported heightened histamine responses in their patients due to these factors. If you are among them, you may find that the fatigue, sneezing, tummy troubles, and/or other symptoms make it hard to keep up-to-pace with all the fall delights.
For example, the dampness in New England can trigger a rise in mold counts, which, when compounded with more exposure to the spike protein, stress, and other external factors, can potentiate excess histamine responses and highly reactive mast cell responses. (Mast cells are immune cells that release histamine and other chemical mediators.)
There’s nothing worse than experiencing allergic responses, menstrual issues, gut disturbances, skin eruptions, or mood swings when trying to navigate through a pumpkin patch or leaf peeping in Saratoga, NY. Do you agree?
