As we begin June, which is technically the beginning of meteorological summer, it will feel more like early-Spring with cool temperatures and unsettled conditions. An upper level low pressure system will slowly rotate into the region on Sunday, which will be the first of several days of wet weather and below average temperatures. Each afternoon over the next week will feature scattered showers as the jet stream remains entrenched over the region. High temperatures will average from the mid to upper 60’s through Thursday, before some slightly warmer weather returns into next weekend as we attempt to dry out with a pattern change.
The cool weather will remain locked in the northeast over the next week as the jet stream dips well south of the region.
