For those who love to bet the horses, some bad news. I just read from the TU that harness racing has been suspended at Saratoga Casino and Raceway until April 11th. Apparently some of the horses have fallen ill with a disease known as "Strangles," which sounds scarier than it actually is. It's kind of like a horse cold.

Golf season started early this year! Airway Meadows has opened their fairways and is ready to be played. This is the earliest they have ever opened, thanks to the early spring weather.

Get ready for the first ever Saratoga Steeplechase Festival coming this September to Saratoga Race Track . Get the chance to view the races from the infield for the first time in over 30 years!

Love Baseball? Are you 30 years old or over? If you answered yes to both, you need to join the Roy Hobbs Baseball League!

The Capital District Roy Hobbs Baseball League is looking for more players in their 30+ baseball league. . If you are 30 or over, you are eligible to play. And guess what - the league is now accepting applications!

The league consists of eight teams, all of which are competitive. The league plays approximately 20 regular season games and then hold playoffs to determine the league champion. The current playoff format has all teams being guaranteed at least 2 more post-season games. Regular Season play begins around the first of May and extends into August. Most teams carry a 15-man roster. Most games are played in Saratoga County at various fields.
