2) The Animals
The agricultural component of the fair is an essential part of the event, and that includes the farm animals that everyone loves to come and see. Take time to visit the horses, cows, chickens, goats, sheep, rabbits, and other farm livestock. Talk with the families that raise them and learn more about Saratoga County’s farming heritage.
Saratoga County Fair kicks up the animal experience by also including Eudora Farms Traveling Exotic Zoo, an educational and interactive animal experience with creatures from around the world. Enjoy exotic animals in addition to the traditional farm animals!
3) The World of Wonders Sideshow
Brand new this year, the Saratoga County Fair has added the jaw-dropping World of Wonders to the roster! This impressive sideshow includes sword swallowers, fire eaters, knife throwers, hula-hoopers, magic, stage illusions, snake charmers, contortionists, an escape artist, daredevils, and Holly’s Divas and Dangers.
World of Wonders is the last traveling amusement sideshow in the country, making this a truly special and unique show to catch.
4) The Talent Show
Speaking of something unique to enjoy at the fair, the Saratoga County Fair is one of the only fairs in the area that does a Talent Show. For this reason, the show is open to participants in Albany and Schenectady County as well as Saratoga.
You’ll get to see a variety of acts at the Talent Show, from singing to dancing to comedy to magic. The show is divided into two age categories, ages 12 and under, and ages 13 and older. This is the perfect opportunity for our local youth to showcase their talents!

5) The Demolition Derby
The Demolition Derby is without a doubt one of the most popular attractions at the fair, and with good reason! Drivers compete by literally ramming their vehicles into one another, which is always such an exceptional sight to see. Make sure you don’t miss out on this action!
You can catch the Demolition Derby at the fair this year on Thursday and Sunday evenings.
6) The Rides
The fair rides are one aspect of the Saratoga County Fair you can always look forward to enjoying again and again. But, two brand new rides are being added for the 2018 season, so you can have something new to anticipate as well: Drop Tower and Back Spin Coaster.
From thrill-seeking rides to smaller, kid-friendly attractions, the Saratoga County Fair will not disappoint with its wide array of rides.
7) The Food – And Beer!
When you hear “fair food” you might think funnel cakes, cotton candy, and popcorn. And you’d be right! But, like everything else at the Saratoga County Fair, you can expect your typical fair food experience to be elevated to something amazing.
The Saratoga County Fair always has new and exciting foods on the roster, and new this year we can expect cookie dough, barbecue sandwiches, churros, and freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies – that’s in addition to a number of other treats, like deep-fried Twinkies!
And, there’s more! Since 2014, the Saratoga County Fair has offered an exclusive, limited release microbrew that’s only available to fair patrons. This year, the one-of-a-kind beer will be provided by Artisanal Brew Works, and brewed just minutes from the fairgrounds.
