The Philadelphia Orchestra: Festive Fireworks

The Philadelphia Orchestra's 2022 residency at SPAC will run from July 27 - August 13.

Opening Night of The Philadelphia Orchestra’s August residency will continue the tradition of featuring Tchaikovsky’s famed 1812 Overture, complete with fireworks and live cannon fire as the kick-off to the 2022 Orchestra season.

Highlighting the program will be the SPAC debut of BalletX, premiering a new work choreographed by New York City Ballet’s Tiler Peck. The piece will be performed with the Orchestra to Valerie Coleman’s Umoja, Anthem for Unity, which draws from Afro-Cuban, jazz, and classical genres.
