Each year Vogue releases a list of 30 “music-,art-, culture-, and culinary-packed ways” to spend the summer months. This year, the famous style magazine mentioned a trip to Saratoga in the list!
Attending the New York City Ballet at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center was highlighted as part of Vogue’s 30 Days of Summer.
The feature specifically mentioned that the debut of corps de ballet member Justin Peck as a choreographer was not to be missed. The young dancer has set a ballet to Philip Glass’s Four Movements for Two Pianos, and it will be performed on July 14 at the ballet Gala.
It’s really cool that Saratoga got this mention- now Saratoga is chic for sure! Other things that the list suggested doing were seeing Meryl Streep in Shakespeare in the Park, and attending the Eat | See | Hear festival in Los Angeles.
Of course, Saratoga lovers have long known that the ballet is a quintessential part of summer, but it’s exciting to get national recognition, especially in a magazine like Vogue!
