Three grocery giants are undergoing changes to help them stand out among the ever-growing competition in the area. Walmart, Price Chopper, and Healthy Living Market are all feeling pressure to improve or risk losing customers, and are taking action as a result.

While Walmart continues to be dominant on an international level, recent efforts seek to give the world’s largest retailer a more local touch. The new Walmart in Ballston Spa is partnering with the Southern Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce to include a kiosk inside the store that will have information on local restaurants, shopping destinations, attractions, farms, and other businesses. The Albany Business Review reports that this new booth will be “the first of its kind in New York’s Walmart stores.”
