Saratoga’s busiest season continues to move forward! Several local businesses have recently opened, merged or made plans for expansion. Take a look:

Saratoga Hospital Will Expand
Saratoga Hospital, the Capital Region’s fifth largest hospital, is planning to acquire 16 acres of land to expand its campus. It is seeking city approval to construct a three-story medical office building off Myrtle Street. Kevin Ronayne, vice president of operations and facilities, stated to Albany Business Review, “This will give us room to grow in the future and it will allow us to be much more efficient. There also is a convenience factor for our patients.”
Glitter Nail Bar Opens
The first nail salon and beauty lounge that offers much more than just manicures and pedicures recently opened on Broadway. Glitter Nail Bar offers traditional nail services in a unique environment that serves wine, beer, soft drinks and a light vegetarian menu. Co-owner, Lindsey Hammer, stated in a press release, “We are all about the experience, from having the best polishes to the social and comfortable design of our manicure bar and pedicure stage.” Glitter Nail Bar is open from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Saturday and 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sunday.
Chequed.com Merges
Chequed.com, a local company that creates analytical hiring software will merge with its competitor, Assess Systems from Dallas. Both Chequed.com and Assess Systems company names, offices and employees will remain the same. Chequed.com offers software that helps companies hire great candidates, while Assess Systems’ software is known to help develop employees once they are hired.
