Shake off the winter blues! It’s time to dance, sing, jam and more at The Flurry Festival coming up in Saratoga. Find out everything you need to know for the fun weekend!

The 29th Annual Flurry Festival will take place from February 12th to the 14th throughout downtown Saratoga Springs. Festival headquarters will be at the Saratoga Springs City Center and the Saratoga Hilton Hotel, with more performances and workshops scheduled at Saratoga Music Hall, Caffé Lena, The Parting Glass Pub and the Saratoga Springs Public Library. The Flurry is well known as a popular weekend for dancers and music lovers of all ages, featuring more than 400 performers, five venues and over 250 events!
The Saratoga Springs Public Library is hosting two free and open to the public pre-festival warm up activities for locals to learn some new dance moves, or brush up some old ones! Monday, February 8th at 7pm will be a “Learn to Swing Dance” workshop and on Wed, February 10th there will be an “Introduction to Contra Dancing” workshop at 7pm. Locals are invited to join the classes to learn some new moves and get warmed up for The Flurry!
Events this year will include a huge lineup of programs for families with young children, many new and exciting programs for teens, and all ages fun with international music, singing, jamming, storytelling and dance events. Check out what’s on the lineup:
- Young children will be busy with simple fun family dances, traditional square dancing, international family dancing, interactive storytelling, active movement games, sing-a-longs, and much more!
- Teens will have their very own youth-only contra dance, youth only Irish set dance, techno contra dances, teen level sing-a-longs and story tellings, a teen talent showcase, teen jam session, and unlimited contra dancing, swing dancing, and international experiences with music, song, and dance.
- Dancing festival goers of all ages will enjoy a major lineup of international music and dance experiences. Along with our traditional weekend filled with non-stop contra and swing, we have programming lined up all weekend long with dance styles such as Tahitian, Flamenco, Bulgarian, African, Chinese, Irish, Yiddish, Scottish, Greek, Hip Hop and more. Instruction is available for beginner level on up and there is no need to bring a partner to come have fun.
