These performers wow audiences across the nation with juggling, acrobatics, magic, clowning, aerials, live music, bright costumes, and more. In 31 years of performances, Circus Smirkus has raised over $2.5 million for non-profit partners. This year’s performances in Saratoga Springs will go directly to the Waldorf School of Saratoga Springs, which provides provide students from pre-school through the 12th grade with a strong education in math, science, literature, languages and the arts through hands-on, experiential learning.
This year’s tour continues the tradition of Smirkus theme-based shows with “Vaudeville!” – a celebration of the grand American tradition of variety entertainment! Performances are scheduled for 1PM and 6PM on July 9th and 10th. Tickets are $25 for adults 13 and older and $19 for children 2-12. Children younger than two are free on an adult’s lap.
In a press release, Waldorf School faculty member Astrea Ravenstar shared that “The skill and agility of these young circus performers is inspiring for the children of our community! It demonstrates the power of practice and setting your mind to a task that you will see through to the end. It is collaboration and confidence, very much in the same spirit with which we teach at the Waldorf School of Saratoga Springs.”
