Formerly known as the Saratoga Balloon and Craft Festival, the annual Saratoga Balloon & BBQ Festival will be held this weekend at the Saratoga County Fairgrounds in Ballston Spa. Bring the family and enjoy hot air balloon launches, delicious BBQ food, live entertainment and music, and more.
It’s time for the second weekend of Skidmore College’s 2018 Saratoga Classic Horse Show. Take a trip to White Hollow Farm in Stillwater for exciting events and competitions featuring some of the region’s best horses and riders.
Looking for something fun to do with the kids? Pitney Meadows Community Gardens will host an old-fashioned story time for children and a hands-on garden-related activity. The program will begin at 9:30am, and admission is free.
Help support Double H Ranch by attending their annual gala at The Great Escape in Queensbury. This family-friendly event will feature appetizers, cocktails, a silent auction, and other entertainment. In addition, a kid’s ticket will include admission to the park, a kid-friendly dinner, snacks, and more.
Enjoy Jazz, Classical Music & More
If you love jazz music, then the annual Freihofer’s Saratoga Jazz Festival is the event for you this weekend! An extraordinary roster of artists will take the stage at Saratoga Performing Arts Center on Saturday and Sunday, such as Jon Batiste, Chris Botti, Herbie Hancock, Mavis Staples, and more. It’s one of the early highlights of summer in Saratoga.
In celebration of Freihofer’s Saratoga Jazz Festival, Adirondack Cruise & Charter Co. will host special Jazz Cruises this Saturday and Sunday. Join them for a 90-minute cruise across the waters of Saratoga Lake while listening to live music.
Head over to Luzerne Music Center for a fantastic concert featuring their faculty members. The concert will begin at 7:30pm, and tickets cost $15 for adults and $5 for students.
Visit Skidmore College’s Zankel Music Center on Saturday night for a performance of William Walton’s Belshazzar’s Feast and Handel’s Coronation Anthems. Over 100 singers will come together for this concert.
