This Sunday, September 23, the Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation is presenting their first bike tour of Spa State Park. Discover the history of this Saratoga landmark, from its stunning architecture to iconic springs. Read on to learn how you can participate!
About the Bike Tour
Since 1977, the Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation (SSPF) has worked to preserve Saratoga Springs’ architecture, culture, and landscaped heritage. This Sunday’s inaugural bike tour follows this mission, guiding attendees on a fun and educational ride through Saratoga Spa State Park, a National Historic Landmark. The event is sponsored by The Gideon Putnam and Roosevelt Baths & Spa.
Linda Harvey-Opiteck will lead the tour, which will meet at the National Museum of Dance at 10:30 AM. Don’t forget to bring your own bike! Admission to the tour is $20, or $15 for SSPF Members. Space is limited, so be sure to reserve your spot as soon as possible.
After spending a fantastic fall day in the Park, don’t forget to swing by the Museum of Dance! All participants will receive free admission following the bike tour. Learn about the history of dance when you explore the Museum’s current exhibitions, Dancers in Film and Art in the Foyer: Tom Caravaglia in Celebration of Alwin Nikolais.
