The weather outside may be frightful, but there are still plenty of ways you can have a fantastic weekend in and around Saratoga. From chocolate festivals to a Fire & Ice Bar, here are some local events you should know about!
Fire & Ice Bar at The Mill on Round Lake
February 3 – 4
The Mill on Round Lake’s annual Fire & Ice Bar will be held the first three weekends of February (Friday – Saturday). Stop by during opening weekend and grab a seat at the longest ice bar in the Capital Region. Highlights include hot chocolate cocktails, fire pits, ice cornhole, a live DJ, and more. Admission is free.
2023 Ballston Spa Chocolate Festival
February 3
Satisfy your sweet tooth at the annual Ballston Spa Chocolate Festival, which will be held at participating locations in downtown Ballston Spa. This event will run from 4:00pm-8:00pm, and treats will be served inside each Sweet Spot. The only time you’ll be outdoors is when you travel between locations, so be sure to dress warm!
February 4
Warm up at Saratoga Clay Arts Center’s 10th Chili Bowl Fundraiser, which will take place at the Saratoga Springs City Center on Saturday from 11:00am-4:00pm. Tickets cost $25 and include a handmade bowl, and attendees can choose from 5 time slots and have the opportunity to purchase more bowls on-site. The Chili Bowl is always a fun time, with live music, a silent auction, and of course, chili taste testing.
2023 Schenectady, NY Wine & Chocolate Festival
February 4
Wine and chocolate are the perfect pairing, and at the Schenectady, NY Wine & Chocolate Festival, you can enjoy both! For 2023, this annual festival has a new location at the Armory Studios, and it will feature a variety of wineries from across the region, distilleries and cideries, a Chocolate Bar, and more. You’ll even be able to take a look at the beautiful Van Gogh exhibit on display at the venue.
February 4
Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Secretariat’s Triple Crown win in 1973 at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame’s “Countdown to the Triple Crown” fundraiser. There will be drinks and light refreshments, live music, a silent auction, and a viewing of the 16-minute film “What It Takes: Journey to the Hall of Fame.” Admission is $10 for Museum Members and $25 for non-members.
Artisans Pop-Up Market Presented by Ladylily’s Place
February 4
Valentine’s Day is coming up, and if you need some great gift ideas, then visit Ladylily’s Place on Saturday for a special Artisans Pop-Up Market. Local artisans will be selling locally-produced and handcrafted items ranging from cookies to candles, skincare products, leathercraft, and more.
Saratoga Farmers’ Market – Winter Market
February 4
Looking to stock up on fresh produce and ready-to-eat foods for the week? Head to the Wilton Mall Food Court on Saturday and check out the Saratoga Farmers’ Market. The hours are 9:30am-1:30pm.
February 5
Search for hidden treasures and unique collectibles at the 46th Annual Antique Show at Shenendehowa High School East. Sponsored by the Southern Saratoga County Woman’s Club, this event will feature many quality dealers in one location. Admission is $5 per person, and free for children under 12.
