From multi-week music festivals to an annual art fair on Beekman Street, there is no shortage of exciting events happening in the Saratoga area. Find out about some of the top things to do for this weekend below.

Now in its 4th season, the three-week Mostly Modern Festival is here to fill the City of Saratoga Springs with some of the greatest classical music of our time. The schedule includes a mix of world premieres and 20th/21st century classics performed live at the Arthur Zankel Music Center at Skidmore College. Tickets are available now for individual concerts, and this weekend will feature the American Modern Ensemble on June 9, Beloved Modern Songs & Arias on June 10, and the Mostly Modern Orchestra with conductor Aram Demirjian on June 11.
Opera Saratoga Summer Festival

June is truly the month for music lovers in Saratoga, as Opera Saratoga’s Summer Festival is also underway from now through early July. The acclaimed opera company has put together a fantastic schedule of music and theater that will take place at different venues in the area. This weekend, take a trip to the Schenectady Civic Players on June 11 for a free, family-friendly performance of The Selfish Giant. This is a new opera adapted from the popular story by Oscar Wilde.
Summer Kickoff Event at Bowman Orchards With Skeeter Creek
Saturday, June 10
Join Bowman Orchards in nearby Rexford for their new Summer Kickoff Event featuring live music by Skeeter Creek, outdoor activities, special treats, and stunning views. General admission is required for ages 2 and up, and it includes access to the entertainment area where rides and activities are unlimited when you show your wristband. Bring the kids and check out the horse-drawn hay rides, fruit train, Bowman Orchards Express, dump truck slide, rope climb hill, and much more. The Summer Kickoff Event runs from 9:00am-4:00pm, with Skeeter Creek performing from 12:00pm-3:00pm.
54th Annual Flag Day Parade: Saratoga-Wilton Elks Lodge #161

The Saratoga-Wilton Elks Lodge #161 will host their 54th Annual Flag Day Parade in Saratoga Springs on Saturday at noon. The theme of the parade is “A Celebration of Sight and Sound,” and it will travel down Broadway from Route 50 to Congress Park.
American Society of Dowsers – 61st Conference & Convention
Today through Sunday, June 11
Have you ever wanted to learn more about water dowsing and other interesting topics? Attend the American Society of Dowsers’ 61st Conference & Convention at SUNY Adirondack, an easy drive north of Saratoga Springs. Each year, this event brings together leading experts, teachers, and practitioners on everything from water dowsing to stone circles, labyrinths, subtle energies, and more. All presentations/speakers will be 60 minutes, and registration is available for specific days or the whole weekend.

Don’t miss out on the annual Beekman Street Art Fair, which will be held in downtown Saratoga on Sunday from 10:00am-5:00pm. Enjoy a juried fine art and craft show, street performers, live music, and food trucks throughout the Beekman Street Arts District. Admission is free, so come by for some great shopping and entertainment.
