The Music Company Orchestra, an all volunteer community orchestra, conducted by Jerry Lanoue, will perform a summer concert series. The program will feature popular show tunes and patriotic music. Dates and locations include: Saturday, June 1, 2pm at the Clifton Park Public Library and Sunday, June 23, 7pm at Freedom Park, Scotia. These concerts are free and open to the public. The Saratoga Springs High School Choraliers will be performing the Mozart Requiem under the direction of Mrs. Kathleen A. McCarty and accompanied on organ by Mr. Farrell Goehring on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Bethesda Church (41 Washington St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866). The Program will begin at 7:30 pm. Admission is free. In lieu of ticket purchase, the group is requesting that the audience members bring a non-perishable food item that the Choraliers will donate to the Franklin Community Center Food Bank.

Paul Houghtaling, a native of Troy, NY, returns to his home turf to present his widely acclaimed "Bach to Rock" concert accompanied collaborative pianist, Kevin Chance. This program will feature a fully staged Bach Cantata on the first half, followed by a variety of American song on the second (Paul Bowles, Jerome Kern, Harold Arlen, William Finn, Richard Hundley, and others.)

Julia Chalfin, a 2002 Skidmore graduate, returns to her alma mater from a blossoming career in Germany to sing The Birth of a Diva (How I Found My Voice), A Musical Storytelling. Her cabaret-meets-opera performance highlights her humorous journey of musical self-discovery through musicals, rocknroll, jazz, and classical music. The program includes songs from Les Miserables and Walt Disneys The Little Mermaid, My Funny Valentine, and Summertime, as well as beautiful classical jewels by Mozart, Handel, Rossini, Bizet, Puccini, and Lehar.
