After a long stretch of relatively dry weather where we could barely buy a drop of rain in the Capital Region, a pattern change will arrive this weekend and linger into early next week with some welcome rainfall.
The pattern change will begin on Saturday as a slow moving cold front approaches with an increasing chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.
A slow moving cold front will push through the region during the weekend, but the heavier rains are expected to arrive late Sunday into Monday. Computer forecast models are not in complete agreement as of this post, but it is looking increasingly likely that the Saratoga region will see several inches of rain by Tuesday.
An area of low pressure expected to track up the east coast late Sunday into Monday could bring locally up to 3 inches of rain to the region.
