About this event

Soulful music from the heart of Eastern Europe, performed with passionate virtuosity by this Cleveland-based folk ensemble.

Performing on authentic folk instruments, Harmonia presents traditional folk music that draws from urban and rural traditions of Eastern Europe, ranging from the Danube to Marcella Sembrich’s homeland, in the Carpathian Mountain region. Harmonia brings to the concert stage the vitality and excitement of ethnic weddings, celebrations and smoky cafés that inspired composers such as Bartok, Brahms and Lizst.
