Fashion is enjoyed by everyone! I caught up with Tess, a local fashion lover and junior at Buffalo State College where she majors in Fashion Merchandising. Tess gives us some insight on what she can’t get enough of in the fashion world!
1. How would you describe your style?
Hippie chic. My winter style consists of layers, over sized sweaters, corduroy flannels, boots, moccasins, tall socks and lots of funky knit wear.
2. Where is your favorite place to shop and why?
I love to shop at the Salvation Army, Amvets and any other thrift stores. I’ve found so many amazing items like button-ups as well as sweaters And who doesn’t love a good bargain Five new sweaters for five dollars? YES PLEASE!
3. What can you not leave the house with?
I cannot leave my house without my floral knitted gloves. I receive so many compliments on them and I got them at Moe.Down, a music festival.
4. Do you ever “do it yourself” with fashion? If so, what have you made?
Yes, I love DIY. I cut my own high-waisted shorts that I get from thrift stores and stud them myself or add little details, like lace. I have also cut a jean jacket into a jean vest.
5. What trend are you loving right now?
I am loving the over sized knit over the maxi-skirt right now. I am a maxi-skirt lover as well as a sweater lover therefore the two together is AMAZING! Comfy, cozy and oh so beautiful!
There you have it folks! Real fashion for real girls. How would you describe your fashion?
