1. Gaffney’s 30th Anniversary Celebration is this Thursday, November 8th starting at 7pm! Join them at Gaffney’s for their 30th Anniversary Celebration! 30 years as one of Saratoga Springs’ premiere hot spots is a milestone to celebrate and they intend to do it right! This is sure to be a great evening out with free hot & cold hors d’oeuvres, champagne bar and great live music! This is more than your ordinary celebration, it’s a Blast From The Past! Alumni bartenders will be on duty catching up with old friends and making some new ones. These generous Gaffney Alumni have volunteered to donate the tips they make to the DVRC of Saratoga County! 2. H.O.P.E.’s 10th Anniversary Gala is this Friday, November 9th starting at 6:30pm at Prime at Saratoga National. Homes for Orphaned Pets Exist (HOPE) is celebrating it’s 10th anniversary with a fundraising gala with dinner, live & silent auctions, dancing & live music by SPECIAL DELIVERY. James Tedisco, Benita Zahn and Brian Shapiro, NY State Director of the Humane Society of the United States will be keynote speakers. Cost is $80 (cost of a cat spay/neuter at HOPE’s Low-Cost Clinic). 4. Taylor’s Heroes Rock of Ages Birthday Bash is on Saturday, November 10th at Universal Preservation Hall starting at 7pm. This great night of fun includes live music from The Refrigerators, huge silent auction, free wine and beer for the first hour, rock star makeup and temporary rock tattoos, great food stations, photo-booths, roaming photographers and dancing! The organization is called Taylor’s Heroes in honor of Taylor Miller who died in June 2010 while serving our country in Afghanistan. The event is scheduled for Veteran’s Day weekend, Taylor would have been 22 on Veterans Day. Money raised helps to fund fitness and nutrition classes for kids age 10-18 in Saratoga.Tickets are $65 in advance, $75 at the door and $45 for ages 18-29. For More Information Call: 518-894-1658.
5. Begin to Spin is this weekend at Saratoga Cycling Studio, 24 Hamilton Street in Saratoga Springs! Free for first time riders, 40 minutes include bike set-up, explanation of the Spinning program and a short ride to get you comfortable on the bike and ready for your first class.
