Adirondacks mapThe Adirondack Mountain Region is a popular and scenic destination in Northern New York. You will find over 3000 ponds and lakes, 2000 miles of hiking trails, 46 high peaks and a six million acre Adirondack Park that contains thousands of acres set aside as "forever wild".

The Adirondack Park is a unique blend of cities, towns, villages, commercial and residential buildings patchworked in among areas that are forever protected from development.

For more information on the history of the Adirondacks, consider a drive to Warrensburg, then to North Creek and then on to Blue Mountain Lake to visit the Adirondack Museum. The scenic drive northward is spectacular and the award-winning museum is an excellent way to spend the day.
