All fans will receive free grandstand and clubhouse admission on Fan Appreciation Day in honor of the final day of the 143rd meet at Saratoga Race Course on Labor Day, Monday, September 5.

“Fan Appreciation Day is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to all our Saratoga Race Course visitors for their loyalty and patronage this season,” said New York Racing Association President and CEO Charles Hayward. “This has been another memorable year of outstanding racing, supported by terrific special events, and we couldn’t have done it without our devoted fans.”

Racing begins Monday, September 5, with a new Labor Day post time this year of 12:30 p.m. The traditional closing day race, the 107th running of the Grade 1, $250,000 Three Chimneys Hopeful for 2-year-olds, will afford patrons a preview at potential standouts in next year’s Triple Crown series and Travers Stakes.

Fan Appreciation Day also marks day two of Family Fun Fest and the Times Union Labor Day barbecue. For $24 ($14 for kids ages 3-12), fans can enjoy a selection of barbecue favorites, such as hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, salad, dessert and more at the track’s At the Rail tent. The price includes an official “Post Parade” program.
