During First Night Saratoga you get to see Spa City at its finest, decked out for the holidays with lights, decorations and plenty of holiday spirit! Saratoga First Night is a family-oriented New Years celebration of the culture and tradition in Saratoga Springs, NY.

Officials are expecting 15,000 to 20,000 people to attend this year, and are calling this year's First Night event the largest in the state after Times Square, and the largest New Year's Eve event in upstate New York.

Paint the town red with over 70 performances of music, art, comedy, film, dance and lots of fun for kids from 5:30pm December 31, 2013 to 12:30am on January 1, 2014.

This year there are a few new names added to the line-up along with several of your regional favorites.

This year's theme "Color Me First Night" will showcase an array of performances that will thrill and awe. From musical performances to magic acts, comedy shows, art exhibits, ballet, blue grass, and a capella - nothing is left out!

Some events returning from previous years include the annual First Night 5K Run at 5:30pm and of course, carousel rides! Folk artists, holiday choruses, rhythm & blues singers, jazz musicians, rock 'n roll artists, country music bands, pop singers, classical orchestras, a capella groups, opera singers and many other musical entertainers will perform at over 20 different venues in Saratoga on New Years Eve.

Events kick off with the opening ceremony at 5:30 PM onwards for an evening of entertainment. The final show of the evening, of course, will be the fireworks at midnight and final performances are from 11:00 - 11:40 PM.

All volunteers receive a free First Night Saratoga admission button and a First Night poster. Register to volunteer early this year, especially if you have a favorite venue you wish to be placed at. All volunteers will be required to attend training sessions, TBA.
