Ari Hest has been making music and touring the planet for about 15 years. What started out as an occasional creative outlet playing guitar in the hallways of high school became a way of life when he built a loyal following touring the college circuit extensively with artists such as Martin Sexton, Suzanne Vega, and Ani Difranco. Since then, Hest has continued to tour relentlessly and released four other albums including the grammy-nominated Silver Skies Blue, a duets album with Judy Collins. The Boston Globe praised Hest as “a prolific songwriter and a captivating live performer,” while Top40-charts.com writes that Hest finds a home “somewhere on the path where Elliot Smith meets Peter Gabriel.”

“I don’t think what I experience is any different than what others do, but I tend to try and put into words what I feel during or after these experiences, and usually people can connect with what I write and sing,” says Hest. “I wanna keep it going for as long as possible. It’s good for my soul, and I love knowing that what I create can have a real impact on people.”
