About this event
Join us Saturday, March 2nd, at 2 pm, for Family Saturday: Narrative Flags! After taking in the artwork of Asafo flags from the Tang collection, visitors get the chance to create their own narrative flag. Asafo originates from Fante States in Southern Ghana. These flags represent many things such as community, ritual, asserting power, and more!
Family Saturday is a program that fosters multigenerational creative cooperation from viewing artwork, discussing, and engaging in a hands-on art activity. These programs run from 2-3:30 PM which will include a tour on selected works. These programs are free and open to the public. They are suitable for children ages 5 and older.
