10th Annual Winter Raptor Fest in Greenwich, NY
Experience the wonder of flight when Grassland Bird Trust's 10th annual Winter Raptor Fest returns to the Washington County Fairgrounds on May 16 and 17. Exciting Live Bird of Prey programs introduce you to many of our native owls, hawks and falcons, including some of our most endangered species!

"Predators of the Sky"
Learn what makes owls, hawks and falcons such effective hunters in this exciting free-flight demonstration by VINS educators!
"Whoo Cares About the Arctic?"
The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) supports 36 mammal species and more than 200 species of birds. Meet an endangered Short-eared owl, Snowy owl and other raptors that winter in the Washington County Grasslands as you learn about this vital habitat and the birds and animals that depend on it for their survival.
Follow a trail through a new and expanded WILD Encounter to meet and learn about native raptors in the “natural” habitats they depend on for their survival. Keep an eye out for live porcupine, opossum, red or gray fox and other mammals along the way! NEW Arctic habitat features Short-eared owls, Snowy owls and other wintering raptors on their summer breeding grounds!
- General Admission: $12 for ages 13 and older, $6 for ages 7-12, age 6 and under are free
- Grassland Bird Trust Members: $10 for ages 13 and older, $5 for ages 7-12, age 6 and under are free – Bring Membership card
Winter Raptor Fest is a fundraiser for Grassland Bird Trust's work to conserve critical habitat for endangered Short-eared owls and other at-risk grassland birds.
