High pressure over the Great Lakes region will keep our weather mainly dry this weekend, but it will also be hot with temperatures in the upper 80’s to lower 90’s. It might be a good idea to head to your local pool or lake to cool down and remember to stay hydrated.
Luckily, a northwest flow into the northeastern states will keep humidity levels rather comfortable. Unlike last week when we saw uncomfortably high heat index values to start the summer season, we will not have that issue this weekend as dew point temperatures remain in check.
Into early next week, temperatures will even begin to cool down a bit and return to near or just above seasonable levels as we head into the 4th of July holiday…more to follow!
The sizzling heat and humidity as well as most of the gusty thunderstorms will remain south of the region this weekend as a northwest flow from Canada brings in very warm and dry weather.
