Mother Nature may provide some of her own fireworks for the 4th of July as a low pressure system and its’ associated frontal boundaries approach from the Great Lakes region late tonight into Wednesday. We could see some showers and thunderstorms overnight as the warm front approaches, and then it turns very warm and humid on the 4th with temperatures approaching 90 degrees.
By late in the day, the cold front will be approaching and may touch off a few more showers and thunderstorms across the region but that looks to be out of here by the evening hours just in time for the local fireworks displays to get off without a hitch, but we are crossing our fingers on this one! If enough instability is realized in the atmosphere on Wednesday afternoon, a few of those storms could have some gusty winds and hail with them…stay tuned!
An increasingly humid air mass will be with us for the 4th of July with a few of Mother Nature’s fireworks possible in the afternoon.
