A warm and increasingly humid air mass will remain in place across Saratoga county and surrounding areas through mid-week. With the increase in humidity and moisture in the atmosphere comes the chances for showers and thunderstorms. On Sunday, a strong upper level disturbance will cross the region and many areas are expected to see some welcome rainfall.
High pressure will then build back into the region to start the new workweek, but it will remain hot with temperatures returning to the upper 80’s and lower 90’s on both Monday and Tuesday. A cold front will then approach either late on Tuesday or early Wednesday, bringing an end to the heat and humidity with some more thunderstorms possible.
A very warm and humid air mass across the region on Sunday will also be accompanied by widespread showers and thunderstorms.
