A warm front will push north through the region this morning, and a very warm and humid air mass will remain in place through the weekend. Skies will become partly sunny this afternoon with temperatures soaring into the lower 90’s. A stray shower or thunderstorm with a heavy downpour cannot be ruled out, especially over the higher elevations.
Into Sunday, another warm and humid day can be expected, but there will be more clouds around and it will become very breezy as a cold front begins to approach. The front will move through late Sunday with showers and thunderstorms likely, some of which could contain torrential downpours and some damaging wind gusts.
Much less humid and pleasant air will then be ushered into the region to start the new workweek.
