A weak area of high pressure will build into the region today with seasonable temperatures in the lower 80’s and a mix of sun and clouds. Clouds will then increase later today into tonight as low pressure over the Great Lakes region approaches.
This system will move into our region on Tuesday as high pressure slides offshore. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to break out in the warm sector during the afternoon hours, with some strong storms possible to the south and west of the Albany-Saratoga corridor. These storms could contain some gusty winds, small hail, and torrential downpours.
A brief break in the weather will return by mid-week, with yet another cold front approaching toward the end of the workweek.
