SECOND ANNUAL JOE GERRITY, JR. MEMORIAL $400,000 OPEN PACING SERIES

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (July 20, 2010) – This year’s Joe Gerrity, Jr. Memorial Open Pacing Series features purses totaling an estimated $400,000. The celebration consists of three preliminary nights, a $125,000 final and commemorative t-shirt giveaway.

Saratoga Gaming and Raceway is proud to recognize Joe Gerrity, Jr. by hosting the annual Joe Gerrity, Jr. Memorial Open Pacing Series. The first leg of the 2010 series will commence on Saturday, July 31 with the second and third legs to follow on August 7 and 14, respectively. Each preliminary night will have multiple divisions, each racing for a $25,000 purse.

Saratoga Arts Seeks Fine Artists for its Summer Outdoor Art Exhibition

Saratoga Arts is seeking artists for its August outdoor art exhibition.

On Tuesday, August 24 (during Travers Festival week) the second of Saratoga Arts summer Art in the Park exhibition and sale events will occur in Saratoga Springs’ historic Congress Park from 10am to 6pm. The Art in the Park exhibits feature original fine art work. Artists need to register for Art in the Park by Friday, August 6.

Annual Visual Art Show and Sale

Saratoga Arts presents Art in the Park on Saturday, July 10 from 10am to 6pm in Historic Congress Park on Broadway in Downtown Saratoga Springs.

Art in the Park is a fine arts and design exhibition and sale featuring over 50 artists. Artists and fine craftspeople working in all media display their original work and are on hand to discuss it with the public.

There is no admission fee to the public for Art in the Park, and all are welcome. Refreshments will be available in the park.
