Two-Day Job Fair Planned For 2018 Saratoga Racing Season
Interested in getting a job at the Saratoga Race Track this summer? The New York Racing Association (NYRA) has a variety of positions it needs to fill this year, and is holding a two-day job fair in June to meet and interview candidates.
Qualifications: You must be at least 15 years old to apply, with New York State Certified Working Papers, photo ID, and social security card or I-9 alternative. Prospective security guards, cashiers, and betting clerks must be at least 18 years of age to apply. Limited opportunities exist for 15-year-old applicants. Betting clerks and cashiers must have significant cash handling experience. Security guards must have a high school degree or GED to apply.
Race Course Interview Schedule & Opportunities
Job fair interviews for the 2018 Racing Season will be held on:
- Friday, June 15 (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
- Saturday, June 16 (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
Opportunities are available for: bets squad, betting clerks, box office representatives, cashiers, chefs, cleaners, cooks, food service helpers and supervisors, general labor, giveaway helpers (part-time only), guest services, hosts/hostesses, mascots, parking attendants, porters and barbacks, prep cooks, retail clerks, security, turf work, utility workers, waitstaff, and whitecaps/ushers.
Positions are available with NYRA, Centerplate, Union Square Events, Integrated Staffing, and American Maintenance, all of which are Equal Opportunity Employers.
What To Bring
Working papers and two types of identification, which may include:
- Driver's License or State ID (must be at least 15 years old to apply)
- Social Security Card
- Birth Certificate
- Right-To-Work Visa

Where To Go
All job fairs will be held at the Embassy Suites - 86 Congress Street, Saratoga Springs. You should be well dressed and prepared for an interview.
