Two-Day Job Fair Planned For 2021 Saratoga Racing Season

Interested in getting a job at the Saratoga Race Track this summer? The New York Racing Association (NYRA) has a variety of positions it needs to fill this year, and is holding a two-day job fair in June to meet and interview candidates.

Qualifications: You must be at least 15 years old to apply, with New York State Certified Working Papers, photo ID, and social security card or I-9 alternative. Prospective security guards, cashiers, and betting clerks must be at least 18 years of age to apply. Security guards must have a high school degree or GED.

Race Course Interview Schedule & Opportunities

Job fair interviews for the 2021 Racing Season will be held on:

  • Friday, June 11 (10 a.m. - 6 p.m.)
  • Saturday, June 12 (9 a.m. - 2 p.m.)

Opportunities are available for: hospitality ambassadors; guest services; cashiers; admissions attendants; parking attendants; Bets Squad representatives; white caps/ushers; box office; betting clerks; general labor; security guards; porters; cooks; waitstaff; bussers; concessions supervisors and cashiers; cleaners; TV production; and technology support.

Positions are available with NYRA, Integrated Staffing, Levy Restaurants, AllPro, and Union Square Events.

What To Bring

Working papers and two types of identification, which may include:

  • Driver's License or State ID (must be at least 15 years old to apply)
  • Social Security Card
  • Passport
  • Birth Certificate

Where To Go

The job fair will be held at Saratoga Race Course's Events Pavilion. Enter through the main gate at Union and East Avenues and park in the main lot. Those who are not fully vaccinated will be required to complete a temperature check, wear facial coverings, and adhere to social distancing guidelines. You should be well dressed and prepared for an interview.
