After a beautiful opening weekend for the Saratoga Race Track, some changes may be on the way. With the weather not having much opportunity to get any better for the start of racing season, our first chance of storms may threaten on Monday.
A weather disturbance and its associated frontal boundaries will begin to approach the region on Monday, bringing a chance of a few scattered showers and thunderstorms especially by late afternoon and into the evening hours. While it will not be a complete washout of a day, and there will certainly be some sunshine around, you may have to dodge a shower or strong thunderstorm toward the end of the day.
By late Tuesday, once all of the frontal boundaries have moved south of the region, cooler and drier weather is expected to return for the mid to late week period as high pressure builds in.
A strong thunderstorm may threaten the area by late in the day on Monday.
