New York State Department of Health Cancer Services Program Partnership for Saratoga County CANCER SCREENING SAVES LIVES! Take care of Those You Love! No Cost Health Screening for Uninsured Men and Women The mission of Saratoga Hospital and the Saratoga Care Family Health Centers is to serve the people of our community by responding to their health care needs. A core value of Saratoga Hospital is our commitment to provide superior quality health care to the people of our community, regardless of their ability to pay. In April 2008, Saratoga Hospital expanded its commitment to the underserved by its award of a five year grant from NYS Department of Health (DOH) Cancer Services Program to administer the Cancer Services Screening (CSP) Partnership for Saratoga County, formerly Healthy Living Partnership, which provides comprehensive breast, cervical, colorectal cancer screening and prostate education to the uninsured age eligible men and women of Saratoga County. Age eligible patients can receive comprehensive ?One Stop Screening Care? at our Wilton Medical Arts and Primary Care Center locations. Many of our local doctors and health centers participate and can provide services. Biannual comprehensive screening events are held in May and October, with plans to expand screening events to one a quarter and special health awareness event planned in March, for Colorectal Awareness Month. Outreach screenings throughout the county will be expanded through mobile van services and development of collaborative provider partnerships. Patients screened through the Cancer Screening Program and are diagnosed with breast; cervical, colorectal or prostate cancer may be eligible for emergency Medicaid coverage through New York State Medicaid Cancer Treatment Program (MCTP). Coverage lasts for the entire treatment period and includes medications. The screenings are done every Thursday at Wilton Medical Arts, 3040 Route 50, Saratoga Springs, NY Call the Saratoga County Cancer Services Screening Partnership staff @ 1-866-747-6492 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
