Taste Of The North Country - Sept. 25, 2011

Glens Falls NY -- Come get a taste at the 19th Annual Taste Of The North County! Sample selections from the North Country's best restaurants during a one-day-only event on September 25, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition to trying the delectable food of the north, there will also be live music, kids games & entertainment, culinary demonstrations, and more enjoyment for the whole family.

Participating restaurants are from the Glens Falls region, as well as Queensbury, Lake George and surrounding towns! A total of 41 local restaurants are set to particpate in this year's event.

This year, there will be an Apple Dessert Contest held - perfect for the start of the fall season! The contest will have two categories, adult and youth. The winner of each category will receive $100 for adult and $25 for youth, with cash prizes being given to the top three!

Taste Of The North Country is held in City Park in downtown Glens Falls. The best part is the event is only $5 (under 18 are free) to enter, and you may sample as much food as you'd like! 

Food coupons are 50 cents each. Restaurant samples are priced in food coupons and can range from 50 cents to $4.

Taste Of The North Country is put on by the Glens Falls Kiwanis organization in support of serving children around the world. All proceeds benefit the many community service projects of the Kiwanis Club.
