Minuteman Press, a printing business in
Clifton Park, celebrated its grand opening
on June 19.
David Fizer opened the franchise location.
He had experience in fulfillment and production,
but no prior experience in the printing
industry. He saw a need in Saratoga County
for this type of business.
“I researched different business opportunities
and I identified a need for a small
printing provider,” said Fizer.
Minuteman Press international is a chain
of printers in the United States, as well as
canada, the United kingdom, Australia and
South Africa. The company has hundreds of
franchise locations all over the world with
headquarters in Farmingdale, N.Y.
The company focuses on commercial
printing for other businesses, providing
products such as brochures, business cards,
calendars, direct mailings, envelopes, letterheads,
newsletters, and training materials.
The company can help with lamination,
copying, printing, logo design, binding, and
other needs.
“Anything you can put your logo on or
think of, we can do” said Fizer.
While Minuteman Press has a focus on
business needs, they can also do printing
for individuals.
“We can do wedding invitations, for example,”
said Fizer. “We can do 10 copies, or
20,000 copies. We like to say there’s no job
too large or too small.”
Minuteman Press is not just a name, it is
also a reference to their quick turnaround
for service. While it is not guaranteed, Fizer
said he often has printing materials ready for
clients the very next day.
For businesses not located in Clifton Park,
the company offers pick-up and delivery of
printing materials, a service not often offered
by printing companies.
“Our goal is to offer world-class service
and very competitive pricing,” said Fizer.
With track season approaching, Minuteman
Press is helping other businesses in the
area get ready for a busy summer. “Right now we’re really focusing on brochures”
said Fizer. “We’re printing a lot of
brochures for festivals, for dance recitals,
for events in the area.”
Direct mailings are another service provided
by Minuteman Press that makes running
a business easier. Fizer and his staff will
print materials, mail them using a client’s
mail list, or create a mailing list.
