Clifton Park Braces And Adirondack Orthodonics Steadily Expanded Over Time

Clifton Park Braces and Adirondack Orthodontics is celebrating five years in the Capital District. During that time, Dr. Sergey Berenshteyn, owner and founder, has expanded from his first office near Shenendehowa Central School District to, now, Albany and Latham.

The flagship Clifton Park office was recently expanded.

“This past summer, we took over the adjacent office at 931 Route 146 and increased our space by one-third,” he said. “Local contractors and suppliers provided the renovations. A.B.P. Builders out of Albany was recommended by someone who had used that firm to build his medical office.”

Saratoga Prosperity Partnership Expands Its Staff To Strengthen Efforts To Attract Jobs

The Saratoga County Prosperity Partnership announced an expansion of its professional staff that it says will enable the organization to strengthen and grow its efforts to attract jobs, companies and investment to Saratoga County.

Shelby Schneider, who joined the Saratoga Partnership in 2016 as director of business retention and expansion, has been promoted to vice president. 

In her new role, she will spearhead a host of economic attraction and retention initiatives, working closely with public and private-sector partners and stakeholders to drive economic growth in Saratoga County.

In addition, Michael Hagerty has joined the Saratoga Partnership as an economic development specialist, bringing experience as a municipal grant writer and non-profit administrator.

A critical part of launching a new business should be a meeting with an insurance agent to discuss the company’s needs, said Bill Bergan, an account executive with Amsure, the insurance arm of Adirondack Trust Co. 

The new business will need the legally required coverages, such as Workers’ Compensation, disability, and paid family leave, along with coverages probably required by the lease for the business premises, such as general liability coverage and coverage for fire, water and other damage to the business contents, he said.

Brain Injury Association Of New York To Hold Events In June At Holiday Inn In Saratoga

The Brain Injury Association of New York State (BIANYS) announced the return of the Professional Symposium on June 12 to the Holiday Inn in Saratoga Springs. 

Also on June 12, the organization’s 36th annual One Voice for Brain Injury conference will take place, running through June 14 at the Holiday Inn.

This year, the Professional Symposium will feature a new format and theme focusing on milestones in childhood brain injury.

“We are thrilled about the schedule for this year’s Professional Symposium,” said Eileen Reardon, executive director for the Brain Injury Association of New York State. “We have leading medical professionals from across the state addressing milestones in childhood brain injury with a focus on a map to recovery. Brain injury is complex, often impacting physical and cognitive abilities.  It is extremely important for professionals working in this field or with children in any capacity to understand the complexity of the issues.”

Alex Tucker Is Named The New General Manager Of Saratoga Casino Hotel

Saratoga Casino Holdings LLC announced that Alex Tucker has been named general manager of Saratoga Casino Hotel.  

Tucker “has been an integral member of senior leadership at Saratoga Casino for over eleven years,” the company said.

Most recently, he served as Senior vice president of gaming and finance. Tucker  was responsible for leading the company’s finance, accounting, food and beverage, and gaming operations departments.
