Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP has added Lori Sievers as a partner in its Health Care Practice, strengthening the firm’s growing focus on New York’s health care and long-term care sectors.
Sievers brings more than two decades of experience representing assisted living and home care providers across the state. Her background includes work on licensure matters, survey issues, regulatory compliance, Office of Medicaid Inspector General audit defense, policy development and change-of-owner transactions. The firm said her deep understanding of both assisted living law and daily facility operations allows her to develop practical, strategic solutions aligned with provider goals.
The firm’s Health Care Practice was launched nearly a year ago in response to the state’s rapidly changing health care landscape. Sievers’ experience and leadership within the assisted living community are expected to expand the firm’s ability to support providers statewide.
Throughout her career, Sievers has served on numerous New York State task forces and workgroups on behalf of assisted living providers. Her leadership includes participation in the Assisted Living Task Force, which developed New York’s assisted living regulations, and the Assisted Living Licensure Streamlining Group, which created the Assisted Living Common Application. She also contributed to work on the Assisted Living Program Need Methodology and collaborated with the Department of Health on regulatory reforms.
Sievers earned her law degree, cum laude, from Boston University School of Law and her bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Binghamton University. She is admitted to practice in New York State.

A Capital Region native, Catchpole is a graduate of the Leadership Saratoga Class of 2024, where he gained experience in community engagement and leadership. He began his career at Homestead Funding Corp., gaining insight into the mortgage industry while studying business administration and accounting.
Catchpole now works with Bonacio Management, overseeing financial management for a portfolio of residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties. His work focuses on maintaining fiduciary responsibility, controlling costs, and maximizing value for investors.
Known for his people-first approach, Catchpole brings a strong work ethic and a commitment to helping clients find homes that fit their needs.
