Towne, Ryan & Partners, PC announced Eric
R. Gee
has joined the firm as an associate,
expanding the firm’s
personal injury practice.

Gee will focus his
practice on litigation,
including personal injury,
environmental
and matrimonial law,
among others.

He received his J.D.
degree from Albany
Law School, where he served as article editor
of the Albany Law Environmental Outlook
Journal, and his B.A. in politics from SUNY
Potsdam. Gee was admitted to practice in New
York in 2005. He opened his own firm in 2010,
following several years at another local firm.

firm announced that Brendan K. Kennedy,
CPA, has joined

senior manager and that Mark J. Spraker,
CPA, joined the office as a tax partner.
Kennedy joins BST
with over 10 years of
public accounting experience,
most recently
with the Albany office
of KPMG. His background
includes extensive
governmental accounting
and auditing
experience, along with
experience in the manufacturing and not-forfor
profit industries. He also brings experience with employee benefit plans and recruiting.
A licensed CPA in New York, he is a member
of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants and the state Society of Certified
Public Accountants. He is a graduate of Siena
College, and currently resides with his family
in Glenmont.

Spraker has over
20 years of public
accounting and tax experience, most recently
with the Albany
office of KPMG.

His
background includes
working with publicly
traded and privately
held companies, tax planning and consulting,
multi-national and multi-state tax compliance.
He also brings experience with practice
management, billings, collections and human
resources.
A licensed CPA in New York, Spraker is a
member of the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants and the state Society of
Certified Public Accountants. He is a graduate
of Siena College, and currently resides with his
family in Hagaman.

Saratoga Hospital named Teri Baldwin of Fort Edward the November Service Star of the

Baldwin, supervisor of phlebotomy, has been an employee at Saratoga Hospital since 2006. She was lauded for always being patient, understanding, and for going above and beyond to fulfill her responsibilities as a supervisor.
The Service Star of the Month program recognizes employees and volunteers who go above and beyond the call of duty to provide great service to our patients, visitors and staff. A hospital wide celebration was held in her honor.

Cuomo to the State
Board of Real Estate
Appraisal.

residential
appraiser and has been
appraising since 2003.

He is also a state-licensed real estate Broker,
and founded his Real Estate broker and
founded his real estate brokerage, CMK and
Associates Real Estate, in 2008.

Since then CMK has grown to four offices,
including one in Burnt Hills, and 26 agents.

BCI Construction announced the promotion

She will be responsible
for overseeing all
financial accounting
and reporting activities
for the Albany based
commercial construction
company.

Cremo joined BCI
Construction as an
intern in 2007 and
upon graduating was hired full time as an
accounting specialist. Cremo holds an associate’s
degree in business administration
from Hudson Valley Community College,
and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from
Siena College.

Ireland
of Malta as its executive chef for
the

years, Ireland worked
at Panza’s Restaurant.
Prior to that, he was
executive chef at The
Wine Bar in Saratoga
Springs for five years.
He has also worked for
the Ritz Carlton and
The Comus Inn in the
Washington, D.C., area.
Ireland was named one of the areas “rising
star” chefs in 2010 at the Albany Chefs’ Food &
Wine Festival. In 2012, John won the Big Brothers
Big Sisters of the Capital Region Iron Chef

Tessitore’s responsibilities include network
security, VoIP configuration and network
engineering.

He comes with over a decade of experience
and is a graduate of HVCC with a degree in
system and network administration. He has
worked previously with regional ISP providers
and comes with multiple Cisco qualifications.

Cecil Provost, owner of Saratoga Construction and sister companies Saratoga Modular Homes and Saratoga Log Homes, is among a group of builders nationwide recognized as a certified green professional (CGP) by the National Association of Home Builders.

This identifies him as a building professional using the skills and the best strategies for incorporating green building principles into new home and remodeling projects.

The CGP curriculum includes training from leading building industry practitioners and academics on a range of topics, including strategies for integrating green building principles into homes using cost-effective methods of construction.

Matt La Farr
was recently hired by Tech II
Business Services Inc. as a technical account
manager. Also, Derek Guby was recently
promoted from sales engineer to technical
account manager.

La Farr has over 20 years in marketing and
sales, recently finishing up a ten-year stint as
the quality assurance coordinator with the now defunct Colwell & Salmon Communications.

With Tech II, he is responsible for onboarding
new clients as well as managing existing ones.

Guby has five years of experience in information
technology and has been a part of Tech
II for close to 8 years. His responsibilities
include managing customer accounts, acting
as a liaison between customers, vendors and
engineers, and to build, implement and manage
IT related solutions.

Guby has received a bachelor’s in mathematics
and two-year MBA degree with a concentration
in IT management from SUNY Albany.

Shelby Schneider
, director of marketing
and economic development specialist at the
Saratoga Economic Development Corp. has
been selected as a winner in the economic
development profession’s “40 Under 40” awards,
the first-ever awards program recognizing
young talent in the economic development
profession.

A five-member selection committee chose
the winners from a pool of more than 150 candidates
based on their exceptional contributions
to the economic development industry. The
award’s program was managed by Development
Counsellors International (DCI), a New
York-based firm that specializes in economic
development marketing.

Schneider began her career with SEDC in
2000 where she implemented the ramp-up and
administration of Saratoga County’s Empire
Zone Program and administered the program
until its sunset in 2010. She has also been with
SEDC since the organization undertook the
development of the Luther Forest Technology
Campus in Malta, New York. She provided
marketing and communications support during
its many stages of development and was also
part of the team that worked to market the
campus to the global semiconductor industry.

This effort eventually led to the attraction of
AMD, which later became GlobalFoundries.
She is responsible for supporting the mission
of SEDC and promoting Saratoga County as a
premier location for business start-up, expansion
and new business development.

Elliott Masie will keynote a prestigious
workplace learning conference in Albany on
May 3. Masie, who heads The Masie Center, a
Saratoga think tank, will speak on cutting-edge
workplace learning trends.
The Hudson-Mohawk chapter of the American
Society of Training and Development hosts
the day-long conference that also features
seven other top experts on workplace learning
and performance.

Darlene Glover
of Watervliet was named
day community opportunities specialist in the
Saratoga. Jeff Morse of Ballston Spa was hired
as an RN in the Nursing Department.


Tracy Kelley
of Stillwater was hired as a
direct support professional at a residence in
Colonie. Colleen Lyons of Clifton Park is a
program manager at a residence in Latham
Living Resources is a provider of services to individuals with developmental disabilities
and traumatic brain injuries throughout the
Capital/Saratoga Region.
