Roohan Realty announced that Cathy Libecci
joined the Company as a licensed real
estate sales associate.

Libecci brings with her a wide range of professional
experience working both as a licensed real
estate agent in New Jersey and Lake Placid over
the past 12 years.

As both a buyer and seller agent, her knowledge
is extensive in creative sales and successful negotiation.
She resides in Saratoga Springs.

CMK and Associates announced the hiring of Bryn Brown
as transaction and listing manager for the company.
Jamie Philo, CMK’s executive assistant of three years has been promoted to director of marketing and technology.

Brown comes to CMK from prior experience as listing coordinator for a real estate firm in the Albany area. CMK has felt the immediate benefit of her experience and input as she contributes to the company’s efficiency.

Philo will oversee the company’s print and media advertising, as well as technology training and maintenance for agents and staff.

The company also announced that in 2012 it experienced its largest growth since opening in 2008. Officials said CMK grew from $8.5 Million of sales volume in 2009, to $41.6 million in 2012, bringing the company to a four-year sales total of over $93 million. That included a 62 percent growth from 2011 to 2012.

Cortelyou directs marketing, business development, strategic planning, and corporate communication efforts firm-wide. He oversees a variety of initiatives, including public relations, client relations, recruiting, and information technology.

Prior to his promotion, Cortelyou served as the firm’s chief marketing officer. He joined the firm in 2007, and since then he has been working tirelessly to implement the vision of the firm’s founding and managing partners.

Cortelyou planned and directed multiple expansion projects, including the launch of the firm’s offices in Washington, D.C.; Arlington, Va.; Syracuse and Buffalo.

Cortelyou received his bachelor’s degree from SUNY Oswego. He is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators, Legal Marketing Association, American Association of Inside Sales Professionals, and the Public Relations Society of America.

The Adirondack Trust Co. announced two
promotions.


Lucile Lucas
was promoted from vice president,
commercial lending, to vice president and
senior relationship manager, commercial lending
Susanne Rogan was promoted from assistant
treasurer, commercial lending to assistant
vice president, commercial lending.

Lucas joined company in 1989 as a vice
president in the commercial lending department.
She has over 25 years of experience in
commercial lending.

Lucas has served in leadership positions on several
community organizations, including Literacy
Volunteers, Franklin Community Center and The
Saratoga Independent School. She currently serves
as a board member of the Saratoga Regional YMCA

Development Block Grant Committee and
has earned Leadership Fellow designation from
Leadership Saratoga.

She is a graduate of Middlebury College
and received her MBA from New York University.
Lucas is also a graduate of the American
Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School
of Banking.

Rogan joined The Adirondack Trust Co. in 2006
and has over 12 years of commercial banking experience.
She received a bachelor of science degree
in finance from Manhattan College.

Rogan currently serves on the board of directors
for Shelters of Saratoga and is a volunteer for St.
Clement’s Regional Catholic School.

Tara Anne Pleat, Esq., a member of Wilcenski & Pleat PLLC law firm in Clifton Park, was recently appointed an adjunct professor of law at Albany Law School where she just completed her first semester teaching “Financial Planning for the Elderly,” a course taught in the spring semester which is a comprehensive long-term care and special needs estate planning course.

Pleat is a 2002 graduate of Albany Law and a member of its Planned Giving Council.

Katie Camarro, owner of Sundaes Best Hot Fudge Sauce in Wilton, is featured in a new “Where Women Cook” hard cover publication called “Pie- Ography – Where Pie Meets Biography, 42 Fabulous Recipes by 39 Extraordinary Women.”

Camarro’s four-page piece is filled with colorful photos, some interesting insights into her life and company, and a recipe for her maple walnut hot fudge ice cream pie.

Sundaes Best is a line of 12 hot fudge sauces under Greenfield’s Greatest Food Co. Inc., established by Camarro and her husband Jeff Shinaman in 2001.

The dessert toppings can be found locally in the Capital Region and in 400 retail, kitchen and gift stores across the country.

Janet Besheer
, broker/owner of Keller
WIlliams Realty Saratoga Springs, 38 High
Rock Ave., has earned the prestigious Certified
Luxury Home Marketing Specialist designation
in recognition of her experience, knowledge
and expertise in the luxury home market.

Besheer is a real estate professional who has
gone through special training and met performance
standards in the upper tier market. She
has been in real estate since 2000 and specializes
in the Saratoga, Warren, Washington counties
and Capital District area and in the eco-Luxury
market. She has eco-broker certification, an
MBA, is a certified buyer representative, an accredited
staging professional, a member of Keller
Williams Luxury Homes and is past-president of
the Women’s Council of Realtors.

The First Niagara Financial Group board of
directors appointed Gary M. Crosby to serve as interim president and chief executive officer.

Crosby currently is executive vice president and
chief administrative and operations officer.

A special committee of the board’s independent
directors was formed to initiate a search for a permanent
president and CEO. The committee will
consider both internal and external candidates.
An executive search firm will be retained to assist
in the CEO selection process.

Crosby joined First Niagara in 2009. He has overseen
the successful build-out of the infrastructure
to support the company’s growth, with particular
focus on enterprise risk management, technology,
and operations.

Before joining First Niagara, Crosby was a founding
shareholder of ClientLogic Corp., serving as
chief financial and chief operating officer. He was
a partner with Seed Capital Partners, a venture
capital firm, and has held senior financial leadership
positions in banking and manufacturing.

Crosby is a magna cum laude graduate of Canisius
College.

Saratoga Hospital named Noelle Smassanow,
RNC-OB, IBCLC, the Service Excellence
Star of the Month for December and Maura
Russo
, RN, Service Excellence Star for January.
Smassanow, of Ballston Spa, is a nurse in the
hospital’s William J. Hickey Women’s Health Services
unit and has been with Saratoga Hospital for
over 30 years. She was recognized for her efforts
to help new mothers with breastfeeding and to
promote the skin-to-skin contact that leads to
successful mother-baby bonding.

Russo, of Saratoga Springs, joined Saratoga
Hospital in 2011 and works in medical-surgical and
orthopedic units. She was recognized for making
each patient feel as though they are the only one
she is caring for.

The Service Excellence Star of the Month program
recognizes employees and volunteers who
go above and beyond the call of duty to provide
great service to hospital patients, visitors and staff.

Berkshire Hills Bancorp, Inc. , which has
branches in Clifton Park, Halfmoon and Wilton, announced
changes to its boards of directors of both
the company and its subsidiary, Berkshire Bank.


John W. Altmeyer
was appointed a director.
He has served since 1997 as president and chief
executive officer of Carlisle Syntec Inc., located
in Carlisle, Pa. He was previously employed by
Syracuse-based Carrier Corp. Altmeyer served as a
director since 1992 of Beacon Federal Bancorp, Inc.
which was acquired by Berkshire in October 2012.

Laurie Norton Moffatt will be a director
nominee to stand for election at the 2013 annual
meeting of stockholders.

Moffatt currently serves as the director and chief
executive officer of the Norman Rockwell museum
in Stockbridge, Mass.

Moffatt has served as a delegate and speaker for
the U.S. State Department. An active community
leader, she is a founder of 1Berkshire and Berkshire
Creative Economy Council and currently serves as
a trustee of Berkshire Health Systems.

The New York Racing Association named
Eric Wing as director of communications and
media relations.

Wing, who has served as senior director of
media relations at the National Thoroughbred
Racing Association since 1999, will oversee
corporate communications and serve as company
spokesperson for NYRA beginning May 15.

At the NTRA, Wing devised and implemented
public relations strategies for thoroughbred
racing’s national trade organization, provided
media assistance to NTRA-member tracks,
and consulted with sports and mainstream
outlets to facilitate and maximize coverage of
thoroughbred racing.

Prior to joining the NTRA, Wing worked as
senior staff editor at Reader’s Digest magazine.
He is a graduate of Dartmouth College.

Amy Glasser DPT, recently joined LaMarco
Physical Therapy PC as a physical therapist.
She is a recent graduate from Sage Graduate
School in Troy, and returned to her hometown
to begin a career serving her community while
promoting health, wellness, and rehabilitation.

She is also active in community based fitness
programs, holding certifications in kickboxing,
pilates and yoga.

LaMarco Physical Therapy, P.C. is a privately
owned outpatient orthopaedic clinic located at
30 Gick Road in Saratoga Springs.

Ballston Spa Veterinary Clinic announce d the
addition of Stephanie Smith, DVM, to its staff.
Smith is from Potsdam and received her
bachelor of science degree from Boston University
in 1997. She worked as a veterinary
technician at Commonwealth Veterinary
Hospital in Newton, Mass. She then went on
to Tufts University in North Grafton, Mass.,
where she graduated in 2009, becoming a doctor
of veterinary medicine. She also received
the Academic Excellence Award.

Smith went to practice at Pittsfield Veterinary
Hospital for a year until she moved to the Capital
Region in 2010. She worked as a small-animal veterinarian
at Animal Health Center in Clifton Park
from August 2010 through February 2013 before
joining Ballston Spa Veterinary Clinic.
