Showcase Of Homes Realtor’s Choice Awards Go To Four Different Companies

Four different developers won the Realtor’s
Choice awards in four categories during the
three-weekend Showcase of Homes event in
Saratoga County.

The annual Showcase of Homes celebration
and awards presentation was recently held in
Vapor at the Saratoga Casino & Raceway. Over
275 people attended the event. A panel of 10
professionals, experts in their particular fields,
judged the 13 homes in three general categories
— classic, executive and luxury.

The Realtor’s Choice Awards, selected by local
Realtors, went to the company Classic Homes
in the Classic Home category; VanVeghten
Construction in the Executive Home category;
Witt Construction in the Luxury Home category;
and Bonacio Construction at The Springs in the
Apartment Home category.

The 2014 Saratoga Showcase of Homes is
presented over three weekends which began
September 20-21, and continues September
27-28 and October 4-5.

Overall, winners in the Classic Home category
were:

• Landscaping: Bella Home Builders, winner;
Heritage Custom Builders (Timber Creek Preserve),
Dave Mastropietro – The Surroundings,
runner-up.

• Workmanship: Classic Homes, winner; Bella
Home Builders, runner-up.

• Best Master Bathroom: Classic Homes, winner;
Bella Home Builders, runner-up.

• Exterior Design: Bella Home Builders, winner;
Classic Homes, runner-up.

• Interior Design: Classic Homes, Karan
Hankinson Interiors, winner; Heritage Custom
Builders (Mourningkill Meadows), Lynn Ricci,
Classic Interiors, runner-up.

• Best Kitchen: Classic Homes, Jacques Legere
– Curtis Lumber, winner; Bella Home Builders,
Jacques Legere – Curtis Lumber, runner-up.

• Interior Floor Plan: Bella Home Builders,
winner; Classic Homes, runner-up.

• Technology: Bella Home Builders, winner;
Saratoga Builders, runner-up.

In the Executive Homes category, winners
were:

• Landscaping: Belmonte Builders, Chris
Gennot – CPI Landscaping, winner; Malta Development,
Terry Hubbard – Peak Environmental,
runner-up.

• Workmanship: Belmonte Builders, winner;
VanVeghten Construction, runner-up.

• Best Master Bath: VanVeghten Construction,
winner; Belmonte Builders, runner-up.

• Exterior Design: Belmonte Builders, winner;
VanVeghten Construction, runner-up.

• Interior Decorating: Belmonte Builders,
Denise Palumbo and Erika Gallagher – Plum
and Crimson Fine Interior Design, winner;
VanVeghten Construction, Stacy Snell and Bennington
Furniture – Design on 20, runner-up.

• Best Kitchen: VanVeghten Construction,
Michelle Buccierro – Builder’s Kitchens, winner;
Belmonte Builders, Lindsay Belmonte,
runner-up.

• Interior Floor Plan: Belmonte Builders,
winner; VanVeghten Construction, runner-up.

• Technology: Malta Development, winner;
Belmonte Builders, runner-up.

In the Luxury Homes category, Witt Construction
won the awards for Landscaping,
Workmanship, Best Bath, Interior Floor Plan
and Technology. It also won Exterior Design
with Balzer + Tuck Architecture; Interior
Decorating with Leah Margolis Design; and Best
Kitchen with Columbia Cabinetworks.

Participating builders were Bella Home
Builders, Belmonte Builders, Bonacio Construction,
Classic Homes, Heritage Custom
Builders, Malta Development, Polito Homes,
Richbell Capital, Saratoga Builders, Traditional
Builders, VanVeghten Construction and Witt
Construction.

Now celebrating its 19th year, the event has
contributed over $825,000 to local charities.
Proceeds from the Showcase of Homes will
benefit Rebuilding Together Saratoga County
and Habitat for Humanity of Northern Saratoga,
Warren and Washington Counties.
