Wagging Their Tails For Tales: Therapy Dog Program
Reading to Therapy Dogs will be held Friday, September 20 from 4-5pm at the Clifton Park Halfmoon Public Library, in the Children's Activity Room.
For children entering grades 1-4. Improve reading skills or help your child gain more confidence in his/her reading abilities. Sign up your child to read alone, with a sibling or a friend. Bring a book or choose from a book basket selected by Youth Services staff. Children can read to the therapy dogs for 15 - minutes, in a comfortable, non-judgmental environment. Children build confidence from the experience and are encouraged to continue with their reading at home.
Call 371-8622 and ask for YOUTH SERVICES to make a 15-minute appointment, or stop by the YS desk. Walk-ins welcome if time slots are available.
